Colour is very intense, beautiful ruby red hue. The nose is powerful and shows great finesse. The alternation of strawberry jam aromas and spicy/peppery notes creates a very pleasant bouquet. Palate floral then spicy (pepper) notes on entry. The wine displays a superb tannic structure and lovely long-lingering flavours. Recommended food pairing is lamb shank in soft spices.

The soil of this A.O.C. covers sandy molasses, clay or old alluvial deposits with shingles.The grapes are destemmed and vinified in concrete tanks. Daily pumping over is carried out during the alcoholic fermentation. Maturing takes place in concrete tank over 8 months.
