Pale yellow with hints of green.
Intense with white flowers, especially acacia on the nose.
Palate - Aromas of peach and pear with exotic fruit notes. Soft oakiness with lightly spiced notes and hints of vanilla.
Finish - Full, with a lovely mineral quality.
The ancient vineyard of Châteauneuf-du-Pape became world famous when the Popes settled in Avignon in 1350. It later became the first French AOC in 1933 under the influence of Baron Le Roy. Lying in the heart of this illustrious appellation, the 14th-century Domaine des Sénéchaux is among the region’s oldest wineries. It gets its name from one of the estate’s principal plots, located in the “Bois Sénéchaux” neighbourhood.
Just one in 16 bottles that come from Châteauneuf-du-Pape are white. But the plot at Domaine de Sénéchaux is ideally positioned for very high quality, fresh whites. These wines have good ageing potential due to the combination of Clairette, Roussanne and Grenache Blanc.
